Memorial Day was first observed May 30, 1868 after a speech by General James Garfield, then people decorated the graves of soldiers. Memorial Day was made a national holiday in 1971.
I just want to thank all of our service men and women fighting for freedom around this world! I also want to thank their families for sacrificing so much. I especially want to thank the loved ones who have lost their soldiers for the cause of freedom. I am forever grateful to those who have given all for me.
The selflessness I see in the soldiers makes me think of Jesus, who died so that you & I can live eternally, not just temporarily, with infinite, eternal life & freedom from the heart of God. Every soldier who gave their life, if they accepted Jesus as their Saviour, will be resurrected when Jesus comes to life & freedom eternal! Praies God!
Keeping America's freedom, the way God set it up, is very important, but it's most important to know Jesus. God has blessed America, and America needs to ever be reminded of that. Don't take freedom for granted. Don't take God's mercy for granted. Tell Him today, what you are thankful to Him for. He loves to hear you. He loves you... John 8:36 says, "If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed."
Pray with true humility, repentance & faith, & He will hear:-) I have to ask Him for those things in my heart, and He gives them:-) God has blessed America so that we can bless others. May God continue to bless through us, and take the gospel, lasting freedom, to the entire planet!

When I saw this video, it made me think of how great Creator God is, and how much He must want to reach down and wrap you & I in His arms right now. He watches us night and day, and longs to hold us close. Psalm 17:8 says, "Keep me as the apple of the eye, hide me under the shadow of thy wings," You are the apple of God's eye! What a great God! He is the One and Only true God! Jesus Christ is the only way to heaven, and He gives us His perfect character to replace our defective, sinful character. What a bargain for us! Eternal life offered free!
When we get to heaven, Jesus will give us the warmest hug we could ever imagine possible, much more than the cat mom who hugs her baby kitten! Isaiah 49:16 says, "Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of [my] hands; thy walls [are] continually before me." No matter what your facing, you are written upon Jesus' hands, with nail scars He will never allow to heal. The scars will remind us forever of His eternal love.
This video has also made me think of those who have died for our freedom. Their loved ones do not have them to hug. Pray for the military families, and be ever so grateful.

This trucker's semi took a direct hit from an Oklahoma tornado, and he lived to tell about it! God is in control! Psalm 34:7, the angel of the Lord encamps round about those that fear Him, and delivers them.
I praise God because it was just announced on the weather channel that yesterday, May 25th, there were 1000 reports of severe weather including 80 tornadoes in 11 states, and there were NO FATALITIES! God is awesome! God's mercy is why there were no deaths yesterday! God answered our prayers!

There have been 5 EF5 tornadoes in April & may of this year, with 6 being the most recorded in one year in the 1974 outbreak! Tornadoes in Oklahoma killed 14 and injured 70, Kansas & Arkansas 5 died. They destroyed homes and vehicles. Today, May 25, parts of Illinois, Tennessee, Missouri, Kansas & Arkansas are under the gun for tornadoes. Please pray... ON May 25, this trucker survived a direct hit from an Oklahoma tornado, on his semi! God's angels were watching over him! Watch the footage:
Dear Heavenly Father,
Please protect all those in the path of these multiple tornadoes tonight. Have mercy on all of the people going through these storms, and send Your angels that excel in strength to dissipate and diminish these storms now, please Lord. Jesus, please say peace be still to the storms. Thank You for Your mercy on America, Jesus. You have all power in heaven and earth as Your Word says, and nothing is impossible with You. Our eyes are on You, as we have nowhere else to turn. Forgive us of our sins which grieve Your heart, and pour Your Holy Spirit out upon our nation and this planet, and uphold Your whole 10 commandment law in our land and around this planet. I pray for a true revival to sweep this planet, so that the earth will be lightened with Your glory, as Revelation 18 talks about! Let true Holy Spirit repentance & revival begin with me, is what we all need to say...

UPDATE: 200 mph tornadic winds left at least 155 dead, with 3 dying on June 4th. with 120 of those identified, 10 missing and 600 injured, from the F5 tornado in Joplin. 9 survivors have been found in the rubble. They are using search dogs to find bodies in the rubble, and will be doing so for awhile. 7000 homes were damaged or destroyed. It was the deadliest tornado in the USA since record keeping began.
Please pray for Joplin Missouri, USA as they were slammed by a powerful, possibly a mile wide, F5 tornado on Sunday, May 22nd. The tornado decimated possibly 75% of the town of Joplin, population 50,000. It is a miracle of God that there weren't more fatalities! It left a 6 mile path. The hospital has been hit very hard, trees are stripped and homes are completely flattened. Debri including medical supplies and records from the tornado was found up to 70 miles away.

Just heard about the volcano in Iceland, where they have issued a no fly zone.
The Grimsvotn volcano, which lies under the Vatnajokull glacier approximately 120 miles East of Iceland's capital, Reykjavik, started erupting Saturday, and had not done so since 2004, and may be 10 times more powerful. It is estimated that the plume was unleashed 12 miles into the atmosphere! Travel has been stopped at Iceland's Main International airport.
Psalm 8:4 says, What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him?"
God said to Job in Job 38:4-7, "Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? declare, if thou hast understanding. Who hath laid the measures thereof, if thou knowest? or who hath stretched the line upon it? Whereupon are the foundations thereof fastened? or who laid the corner stone thereof; When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy?
If it wasn't for God's continual merciful hand staying the enemy, satan, there would be chaos everywhere! God always has His arms open to receive YOU! Go to Him now, as He is waiting for YOU. He loves you deeper than you can imagine... In the following verse, put your name in place of the words world and whosoever...John 3:16,17 says, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved."

I will not scoff at those who set dates about the end of the world, and the date passes. I pray they don't lose faith, and that they continue to read God's Holy Bible so they will see the truth in Matthew 24:36,"But of that day and hour knoweth no [man], no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only." Only God knows the exact time that Jesus will come. Many people believed the prediction because they didn't understand what the Bible said about it. One thing I am VERY CERTAIN of, is that Jesus is coming very soon! This is something to be excited about! Good news for YOU today! Jesus died for your sins, took YOUR guilt upon Himself, and gives you His perfect righteousness, if you ask!
The Bible says in 2Peter 3:3,4, "Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as [they were] from the beginning of the creation.For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water: Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished: But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.
Please do not scoff at the May 21 enthusiasts, but instead, search the Holy Bible for the truth as never before. Your life depends on it. The reality is, those that scoff at His coming will one day realize they wasted precious time and are unprepared, just as the scoffers were unprepared at the time the flood came. Noah and his family were saved because they believed and acted upon what God said.

I believe that the second coming of Jesus is imminent. Many signs given in the Holy Bible are happening.
Matthew 24:4-7 says, "And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all [these things] must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. Luke 21:25-28 says, "And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring; Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken. And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh." James 5:1-7 speaks of economic troubles, "Go to now, [ye] rich men, weep and howl for your miseries that shall come upon [you].Your riches are corrupted, and your garments are motheaten. Your gold and silver is cankered; and the rust of them shall be a witness against you, and shall eat your flesh as it were fire. Ye have heaped treasure together for the last days. Behold, the hire of the labourers who have reaped down your fields, which is of you kept back by fraud, crieth: and the cries of them which have reaped are entered into the ears of the Lord of sabaoth. Ye have lived in pleasure on the earth, and been wanton; ye have nourished your hearts, as in a day of slaughter. Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain. Be ye also patient; stablish your hearts: for the coming of the Lord draweth nigh.
An inspired author wrote in the late 1800's, "Soon grievous troubles will rise among the nations-- trouble that will not cease until Jesus comes. As never before we need to press together, serving Him who has prepared His throne in the heavens and whose kingdom ruleth over all. God has not forsaken His people, and our strength lies in not forsaking Him.
The judgments of God are in the land. The wars and rumors of wars, the destruction by fire and flood, say clearly that the time of trouble, which is to increase until the end, is very near at hand. We have no time to lose. The world is stirred with the spirit of war. The prophecies of the eleventh of Daniel have almost reached their final fulfillment.
Soon strife among the nations will break out with an intensity that we do not now anticipate. The present is a time of overwhelming interest to all living. Rulers and statesmen, men who occupy positions of trust and authority, thinking men and women of all classes, have their attention fixed upon the events taking place about us. They are watching the strained, restless relations that exist among the nations. They observe the intensity that is taking possession of every earthly element, and they realize that something great and decisive is about to take place, that the world is on the verge of a stupendous crisis. A moment of respite has been graciously given us of God. Every power lent us of Heaven is now to be used in working for those perishing in ignorance. There must be no delay. The truth must be proclaimed in the dark places of the earth. . . . A great work is to be done, and to those who know the truth for this time, this work has been entrusted. In the last scenes of this earth's history, war will rage. There will be pestilence, plague, and famine. The waters of the deep will overflow their boundaries. Property and life will be destroyed by fire and flood. We should be preparing for the mansions that Christ has gone to prepare for them that love Him. There is a rest from earth's conflict."
In Matthew 24, Jesus said the last days would be like the days of Noah. They were eating, drinking, building, and marrying, until the day the great flood came, and then it was too late to get on the ark. Genesis 6:5,6 & 11 tells about the time before the flood, "And GOD saw that the wickedness of man [was] great in the earth, and [that] every imagination of the thoughts of his heart [was] only evil continually. And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart. The earth also was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence. Does any or all of this make the light shine in your mind?! The signs are to get more and more frequent and powerful the closer we get to the second coming.
Last year I started writing down the earthquakes on the calendar! I was amazed at how frequently they were happening! Now the Japan disaster, and it is planet earth, wake up! Jesus loves you and He's coming! He wants to spend eternity with you! His 10 commandment law is part of His throne in heaven(more on this soon)! He is coming as King of Kings and Lord of Lords! He is coming to deliver His people and take us to heaven, a very real place, so we can be with Him, forever! He is eager to forgive your sins and change your heart! This is GOOD NEWS!!!!!!!:-)
Jesus said in John 14:1,"Let not your heart be troubed. Ye believe in God, believe also in me."

Please read part 1 if you missed it, before reading this blog:-) Part 3 will be about signs of Christ's coming. 2012 mania had made a lot of people wonder if the end of the world is near.
Before Jesus comes, satan will appear as Christ, trying to make people believe he is in fact Jesus Christ, come the second time. 2 Corinthians 11:14 says, "And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light." In Matthew 4, satan appeared to Christ, in the wilderness, as a dazzling angel of light, when in fact, his reason for doing so was to tempt Jesus into disobeying His Father, and to receive worship, if he could get it.
I am reminded of a story in John 12, where the Jewish chief priests were plotting the death of Jesus and also Lazarus, who Jesus had raised from the dead. The chief priests acted all religious and righteous, but murder was in their hearts. Inspired by satan, they were insanely jealous of Jesus because of all of the miracles he had performed for the people, and they were afraid of losing the following and acclaim they were used to receiving. This is the same spirit of rebellion in satan's heart. He wants worship, so he will appear as a benefactor, when death and destruction follow. In Egypt, God sent Moses to Pharoah and told him to throw his rod down, and it became a snake. Pharoah's magicians did the same, but then Moses' rod ate the other snakes, and turned back into a rod. God showed that satan made it look like there was a miracle, but he was actually powerless before God. When God sent the plagues to Egypt, none of Pharoah's magicians could stop them. They cried out to their gods, but they were powerless to help them. Satan leads people to worship him by appearing wonderful and harmless, and when they follow, he allows calamity to come upon them, and blames it on God. His light is darkness.
Revelation 16:14 says, "For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, [which] go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty." Why would they go to the leaders and people of the whole earth, using false miracles to actually lead them in a rebellion against God? Because it is a way for satan to receive worshp, although very temporary, on a grand scale. He knows God loves you and I eternally, and He wants to hurt the heart of God. Many will be unprepared and taken in by the delusion because they have not read the scriptures for themselves and searched for the truth. They will see supposed miracles and their emotions will get in the way of the Bible and the Bible only. Jesus has told us how He's coming, so there's no reason to be deceived. Every eye will see Him. we'll meet Him in the air and the dead in Christ will be resurrected, after the trumpet blast! Praise God!
Someone who I believe to be inspired wrote the following, "We are approaching the end of this earth's history, and Satan is working as never before. He is striving to act as director of the Christian world. With an intensity that is marvelous he is working with his lying wonders. Satan is represented as walking about as a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. He desires to embrace the whole world in his confederacy. Hiding his deformity under the garb of Christianity, he assumes the attributes of a Christian, and claims to be Christ Himself.--Ms 125, 1901, p. 6. ("The Unchangeable Law of God," December 9, 1901.) {8MR 346.1}
Satan himself will personateChrist, declaring that he is the Son of God. One will say, "Christ is here;" another, "He is there;" and still another that He is somewhere else.--Ms 110, 1901, p. 12. ("The Christian Hope," Sermon, October 5, 1901.) {8MR 346.2}
Satan will work . . . wonders before men to make the world believe him to be Christ, come the second time to our world. He transforms himself into an angel of light, but while he bears the appearance in every particular as far as appearance goes, he is not Christ.--Letter 46, 1889, p. 2. (To "Brethren in Healdsburg," January 10, 1889.) {8MR 346.3}
The mighty angel from heaven is to "lighten the earth with His glory" (Revelation 18:1), while he cries mightily with a loud voice, "Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen" (Verse 2). . . . {8MR 346.4}
We would lose faith and courage in the conflict if we were not sustained by the power of God." Friend, it is high time to give your heart to the One true Creator God who loves you, not to the liar who hates you, and wants to break your life in pieces. Don't let satan rip you off. He hates you, but Jesus loves you much more, and died for your sins. He offers His righteousness in place of your sin. If you haven't, please give Him your heart and worship.

I have heard a lot of talk lately about May 21, 2011, 2012, the end of the world and the second coming of Jesus or rapture. The word rapture is not in the King James Bible, but simply means, to be caught up. Part 1 is about how Jesus will come, Part 2 will be a very short addition to part 1, mainly discussing how satan will appear as Christ, and part 3 will be about the signs of His second coming:-)
It's very important to know how Jesus is going to come so that you're not deceived by an imposter.
Robert Fitzpatrick has spent $140,000, his life savings, trying to warn people in New York that on May 21st there will be such an earthquake that no one will be able to live on earth anymore. He wrote the book, Doomsady Code, based off of Harold Campings ideas, who has been wrong on these kinds of predictions before. Jesus said Himself in Matthew 24:36, "But of that day and hour knoweth no [man], no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only." So, that tells me that Judment Day, May 21st, and 12/21/2012 are dates set by man, and not God. Jesus doesn't lie. We definitely see the signs all around, but more on that in part 3!
Matthew 24:3-5 says, "And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto Him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what [shall be] the sign of Thy coming, and of the end of the world? And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many." So, if it was important enough to Jesus to warn the disciples over and over in Matthew 24, that there would be deceptions about His second coming in the last days, then I feel it's important for us living in the last days to understand the truth. We don't want the enemy's counterfeit!
Revelation 1:7 says, "Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they [also] which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen." Imagine, the sky parts like a scroll, and every human on this planet sees Jesus coming through the sky! WOW! Do you see anything secret about this? 1Thessalonians 4:16-18 God says, "For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive [and] remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words." So when Jesus comes, He is going to SHOUT, blow the trumpet, and it is going to be so LOUD that it will rock open the graves of all those who died knowing Jesus as their Lord & Saviour. They will come out of the graves, flying through the air to meet Jesus, healthy and young, and immortal forever! We will have no more temptation or sinful tendencies! That sinful nature will be wiped out! 1Corinthians 15:51-55 says, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal [must] put on immortality.O death, where [is] thy sting? O grave, where [is] thy victory? Psalm 50:3 says, "Our God shall come, and shall not keep silence: a fire shall devour before him, and it shall be very tempestuous round about him." No silence, no secret, here! Jesus' second coming will be the most literal, visible, and audible event this planet will ever witness! He will come as King of Kings and Lord of Lords, and HE WILL NOT BE ASHAMED!!!!!!! It will be announced in the heavens! He is coming to deliver His people! The first time, He came quietly, as a baby, as The Lamb, but the next time, He is coming as the Lion of Judah. Many thought He would show up as the mighty king then, and many now believe He will show up quietly. It is the opposite! In Jeremiah it says the Lord will roar out of Zion. His people will look up and say, in Isaiah 25:9, And it shall be said in that day, Lo, this [is] our God; we have waited for him, and he will save us: this [is] the LORD; we have waited for him, we will be glad and rejoice in his salvation."
Immortality will be given when Jesus comes. Enoch, Moses & Elijah we know are already in heaven. Moses represents those who have died and will be resurrected to meet Jesus, and Elijah represents those who will be alive when Jesus comes, and will go to heaven.
Satan will try to personate Jesus Christ, and will appear as a being of light, making it appear that he is healing multitudes and speaking scripture, but he will actually be twisting scripture as he did when tempting Jesus in the wilderness, in Matthew 4. 2 Corinthians 11:14 says, "And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light." Revelation 16:14 says, "For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, [which] go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty."
The Bible says every eye will see Jesus at once, we will meet Him in the air and the righteous dead will be resurrected. Those who crucified Jesus, who didn't repent, will also be raised to see Him coming, just as Jesus told the high priest at His trial in Matthew 26:64, "Jesus saith unto him, Thou hast said: nevertheless I say unto you, Hereafter shall ye see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven."
What will happen to those who have rebelled against Jesus and His word? Jeremiah 25:3 says, "And the slain of the LORD shall be at that day from [one] end of the earth even unto the [other] end of the earth: they shall not be lamented, neither gathered, nor buried; they shall be dung upon the ground." Revelation 6:14-17 says, "And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places. And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains;
And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb: For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand? 2 Thessalonians 2:8 says, "And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming" Jesus told His disciples in Matthew 24:26, "Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, [he is] in the secret chambers; believe [it] not. We're not going to hear about it or see it on the news. It will be announced in the heavens! Revelation 22:12 says, "And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward [is] with me, to give every man according as his work shall be. Jesus knows when He comes who is saved and who is lost. There is no second chance. Revelation 22:11 says,
"He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still." When the flood came, there was no second chance. Only those who were in the ark were saved. There is no 7 year tribulation, for a second chance. It is not found in the Bible. The Bible says in 2 Corinthians 6:2, "(For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now [is] the accepted time; behold, now [is] the day of salvation.)" Tell Him you believe He died for your sins, and that you accept His forgiveness and eternal life, now. Ask Him to be Lord and Saviour of your life, and to work His works in you. Ask Him to come into your heart and to change your heart into what He wants it to be. 1 John 1:9 says, "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us of our sins, AND to cleanse us from ALL unrighteousness." Phillipians 1:6 says, "Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform [it] until the day of Jesus Christ." I will write more in the coming days about righteousness by faith in Jesus, and what Jesus is doing in the Most Holy Place in heaven now, for you, right before He comes. My next blog will be part 2, a short version of part 1, talking about satan appearing as Christ, before Jesus comes. There's a lot of buzz lately about the possible finding of the Higgs-Boson or God Particle. This finding has not been confirmed by anyone as of yet.

To quote, "The Higgs-boson is predicted to exist by prevailing particle-physics theory, which is known as the Standard Model. Physicists think the Higgs bestows mass on all the other particles — but they have yet to confirm its existence." My question to scientists that don't acknowledge the existence of Creator God is, where did the God particle come from? Even if you find the God particle, it just confirms supernatural intelligent design! Humans cannot make mass out of nothing!
The CERN accelerator in Switzerland is what they use to smash atoms at almost the speed of light. They think they are producing an effect with it that is similar to the big bang theory, and I want to emphasize the word, theory. I fully believe in the Bible account of creation!!! All of man's searching in 6000 years has only scratched the surface, and does man no good if man doesn't accept Creator God! The following video is an explanation of the CERN accelerator HADRON collidor.
If only they would read and believe the Holy Bible, they would understand that they can never, never, create anything out of nothing! They have living matter to study, but can never create living matter out of nothing! Only Creator God can do so!!! What a costly manmade machine the CERN accelerator is! The Bible says in Psalm 33:9, "For He spake, and it was [done]; He commanded, and it stood fast." All Creator God has to do is speak, and things happen! God spoke, and bang,, it happened!
God has already spoken every word in His Holy Bible, through the Holy Spirit. Every thing in the Bible He has spoken, and since all He has to do is speak, and things happen, then it stands to reason that His word is alive and happening!!!
Praise God for His word which is full of truth! We have an awesome Creator God!!!

We have an awesome Master Designer God in the heavens, Creator God Almighty! For some reason, there is a quote at the end of part 4 quoting the Koran. I believe the Holy Bible is the one and only true living Word of God!!!!!!! The only way to salvation is through Jesus Christ!
God is indeed an AWESOME CREATOR GOD!!!!!!! Please read Job 38, and ponder the questions God asks there, as if He's asking you...
To all of the mothers around this planet,
Happy Mother's Day! There is no job on earth more important than being a mother. You are molding hearts for eternity! Proverbs 22:6 says, "Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it." It doesn't mean your child will never wander from the right path, but if you train them to know God, then they have something to return to if they do wander.
An inspired author wrote, " the mother has been dealing with developing minds and character, working, not only for time, but for eternity. Her work, if done faithfully in God, will be immortalized. {HR, July 1, 1877 par. 7}
The votaries of fashion will never see or understand the immortal beauty of that Christian mother's work, and will sneer at her old-fashioned notions, and her plain, unadorned dress; while the Majesty of Heaven will write the name of that faithful mother in the book of immortal fame. If you are a mother, congratulations! Lay your children before God every day! Ask Him to cover them with the protecting blood of Jesus, and He will do just that! I believe God loves to hear the prayers of the mother, for they are always sincerely from the heart!

The enemy of our souls has unique, tailor made temptations for all of us. He knows our weak points and like a roaring lion waits to pounce at just the right moment, to try to make us give in to sin. 1 Peter 5:8 says, "Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:" He may make you think just this once won't hurt, or it's not so bad if all of these other people are doing it. He tries to entice us by making sin appeal to our senses, but then it steals our joy. He tries to sell the lie that sin's "pleasures" cover up pain, when sin actually causes the deepest pain.
On the cross, Jesus cried, "My God, My God, WHY have you forsaken ME?" Have you ever felt that way like, God, why are you allowing this in my life? He was experiencing the seperation from His Father, and it was weighing upon Him , and He had done nothing wrong! He did it because YOU were on His mind, and the guilt of YOUR sin and MY sin was on His shoulders. YOU mean the world to Jesus and He wants to be with YOU forever! I Corinthians 10:13 says, "There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God [is] faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear [it]." Jesus sees the temptation coming, He knows what it feels like, and warns us through the Holy Spirit! If our spiritual ears are open, we will hear the warning! If you have a child, and you see danger approaching, you will warn your child before they get hurt! If they choose not to listen and get hurt, it hasn't diminshed your love for them, but instead makes you want to hold them even closer. That's how God sees YOU...
So, if you've messed your life up, as we all have, just ask Jesus to pick up the pieces and heal you, and He has promised to do just that! Psalm 147:3 says, "He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds." We are all battle scarred by sin, but Jesus came through the stars, took the sin that was ours, forever bears the scars, so He can heal ours... Hebrews 4:14-16 Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast [our] profession. For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as [we are, yet] without sin. Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.
Don't fall for satan's temptations, only to end up crying, like the dog in ultimate dog tease! Let Jesus heal you!
