Epic Cosmic Battle-If God Is So Good, Why Is There Suffering?-Part 3

To all of my friends around this planet,
If you haven't read part 1 & part 2 in the archives, please do so before proceeding:-)  Ivor Myers wrote a lot of the info I am presenting.  Some of the info is from my own studies:-)
Please check out the videos on life's purpose at www.digma.com
So, Lucifer was cast out of heaven with 1/3 of the angels.  2Peter 2:4 says, "For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast [them] down to hell, and delivered [them] into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment."  They believed his lies that they didn't need to obey God's law to be righteous.  Have you ever heard anyone say that?  I pay my taxes and provide for my family, so I'm good. I don't need God.to be good. This is the same philosophy Lucifer used in heaven to deceive the angels.
Maybe you've heard some Christians say, "the law was nailed to the cross, or, we don't need to keep God's law, because were not under the law, but under grace?"  Without law in a government, there is anarchy and chaos.  These ideas come from the master of self righteousness. In Numbers 16 is a story about Korah's rebellion.  Korah was jealous of Moses' position, and felt that he, and the others he talked into rebelling with him, were holy(sef-righteousness), and deserved a higher position.  Korah and his rebellious followers ended up dying just as satan and the fallen angels will, along with all who choose to follow them.
Do you think Lucifer, when starting his anarchy in heaven said to the other angels, "hey, do you want to be evil with me?"  No, they wouldn't have fallen for that.  He most likely suggested something like this,"If we're really free, why do we need a law dictating to us what to do?  Why do we need a law telling us how to be righteous?  There's other ways to be righteous than following God's commandments."  Satan suggests this to you and I now, just as he did to the angels, and to Korah.
Why do you think God didn't just zap satan & his angels out of existence?  Why didn't He just judge them right then and there?  In Deuteoronomy 19:16-19 it says, "If a false witness rise up against any man to testify against him [that which is] wrong; Then both the men, between whom the controversy [is], shall stand before the LORD, before the priests and the judges, which shall be in those days; And the judges shall make diligent inquisition: and, behold, [if] the witness [be] a false witness, [and] hath testified falsely against his brother; Then shall ye do unto him, as he had thought to have done unto his brother: so shalt thou put the evil away from among you."   God was laying out a principle to Moses.  Whenever a controversy arises between two or more people, there must be a witness, a third party to discern between the two parties.  It would be totally unfair for a controversy to arise between two parties, and one of those parties was chosen to serve as judge over the other party.  We need a jury, a third party, to be fair.
When this controversy happened in heaven, heaven was polarized into two sides, and God needed a jury.  In Ezekiel 28:17, God told Lucifer, before he was cast out of heaven, these very words," I will cast thee to the ground, I will lay thee before kings, that they may behold thee."  Guess who the kings would be that God would create to be the jury?  You and I, humanity.  That is a high calling.  1Corinthians 6:1-3 says, "Dare any of you, having a matter against another, go to law before the unjust, and not before the saints?  Do ye not know that the saints shall judge the world? and if the world shall be judged by you, are ye unworthy to judge the smallest matters?  Know ye not that we shall judge angels? how much more things that pertain to this life?"
When satan saw Adam and Eve and knew God gave them dominion, he realized that they were the kings that God was going to lay him before.  He knew they would be the ones to judge him.  He decided to try to bribe the jury.  If there's no jury, there's no trial.
What are the requirements for a sound juror?  1) They must have very little knowledge of the crime or were not there at all.  Where was humanity when rebellion broke out in heaven?  We weren't there at all.  2) A juror is supposed to be a law abiding citizen. 3) A juror is supposed to be able to discern the difference between right and wrong. 4) A juror is not to be swayed by public opinion.  So, the devil comes to Eve, and says as is stated in Genesis 3:5, "For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil."  Just as he told the angels in heaven, that they could be like God.  He didn't ask Adam and Eve if they wanted to be evil and rebel with him.  He's much more subtil than that.  The word gods in Genesis 3:5 is translated Elohim, which means judges.  You want to be a real good judge, eat from this tree.  Adam & Eve ate from the tree and what happened?  They lost their ability to discern between right and wrong.  They were no longer law abiding citizens.  God comes along and says in Genesis 3:15, "And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel." The very purpose of the gospel is to restore us as sound, law abiding jurors!  God's government is based upon his 10 commandment law.
In our next blog, we will expand on a few points and will briefly review how God's law is part of His character.  We will soon be getting into the exciting topic of the Hebrew sanctuary, and how it was a replica of the one in heaven.  It is an awesome study!!!!!!!
We are caught in this cosmic battle, and Jesus Christ has already won!  Give your heart to Him today, and let Him win your battles as you march hand in hand with Him!
