To my friends around the world,
I'm sure by now you've seen the following video of Denver, the guilty dog:-)
I'm sure by now you've seen the following video of Denver, the guilty dog:-)
Did you ever do something you knew was wrong and afterwards felt very guilty? Every human alive has been there! Thank God for His Son Jesus who took my guilt and your guilt upon Himself!
When Adam & Eve disobeyed God in the garden and ate from the tree of knowledge of good and evil, Genesis 3:7-10 God says, "Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they knew they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together and made themselves coverings. And they heard the sound of the Lord God walking in the cool of the day, and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God among the trees of the garden. Then the Lord God called to Adam and said, "Where are you?" So he said, "I heard Your voice in the garden and I was afraid because I was naked; and I hid myself." And He said, "Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten from the tree of which I commanded you that you should not eat?"
Then Adam blamed Eve, and Eve blamed the serpent. That is when the human blame game started, not wanting to take responsibility for our own actions, even though the guilt is written all over us, and has scarred out hearts. Like Denver, the guilty dog, we know when we do wrong because the Holy Spirit tells us what is right and wrong. We usually try to hide wrongdoing, but the Lord God's loving gaze pierces right through us to our heart. Romans 12:2 says, "There is nothing covered that shall not be revealed, and nothing hid that shall not be known."
Jesus Christ the Messiah came to take your guilt upon Himself. He asks you, (name), where are you? How is it that you feel guilty? What did you do? He already knows this, but wants you admit your guilt and your need of Him, and ask Jesus to take your heart and clean it up, and to make the sins of your past disappear, just as if they were never there! That's the best news this messed up planet has ever heard! How can you resist this offer except at the peril of your soul? Jesus actually gives you His righteousness as a gift, His perfect character is transferred to you, as He changes your heart over your lifetime. What an AWESOME Saviour!!!!!!! God looks at you as perfect the moment you accept Jesus Christ, because you are covered with His Son's righteousness.!! Praise God!!
2 Corinthians 6:2 says, "Now is the day of salvation." Hebrews 3:15 says, "Today, if you will hear His voice, harden not your hearts." Admit your guilt like Denver the dog, and Jesus will take the guilt off of you. If you feel guilty after you've asked for forgiveness, that is satan trying to make you distrust you are forgiven. God never condemns you, He condemns your sin. He convicts you so you will repent. Jesus already died for your sin, so come to Him now if you haven't, won't you? Where are you? Why are you there? God loved you enough to let His Son die for YOU! God loves you as much as He loves His Son, Jesus...
God B in U & through you, Joy J
