Tornado Outbreak-Death Toll Rising

  There have been over 650 tornadoes in April so far, and the normal average is 168. There were almost that many yesterday, alone!  I was watching the weather late last night, and one storm was intensifying.  The weather guy said he hadn't ever seen anything like it. "Never, in 32 years forecasting, have I seen as many violent tornadoes indicated on radar at one time as I did today," wrote Alabama meteorologist Dan Satterfield on his American Geophysical Union blog. This was one of the worst tornado outbreaks in American history.  The death toll now stands at 342 and hundreds are missing.

   Have you noticed lately that the natural disasters seem to be getting stronger and more frequent, here in the United States and around the world?  The Bible talks about these types of things happening as a sign of Jesus' second coming.
  It grieves Creator God Almighty to see the death and destruction that has come upon this world as a result of sin.  The Bible says in John 10:10 "The thief comes to steal, kill and destroy; but I come that you may have life and have it more abundantly."  God allows things to happen so that satan will be exposed for who he really is.  God loves every person on earth, the same.  He loves you as much as He loves His own Son, Jesus.  He wants you to choose life.  It doesn't mean you won't have hard times, but He has promised to be with you through those times.  Satan cannot go beyond God's boundary.  If it wasn't for God's mercy, darkness would obliterate everything, every blade of grass, every bird, everything.  Thank You God for Your mercy!  God always brings good out of any situation, and sometimes allows things to help us see our need of Him, because He wants to have a relationship with us, with YOU.  If you are in rebellion or ignoring God, please turn to Him.  He will do everything to help you:-)

  In the book, The Great Controversy, some insight is given into what is happening.  Please read the following from a blessed author:    Satan works through the elements also to garner his harvest of unprepared souls. He has studied the secrets of the laboratories of nature, and he uses all his power to control the elements as far as God allows. When he was suffered to afflict Job, how quickly flocks and herds, servants, houses, children, were swept away, one trouble succeeding another as in a moment. It is God that shields His creatures and hedges them in from the power of the destroyer. But the Christian world have shown contempt for the law of Jehovah; and the Lord will do just what He has declared that He would--He will withdraw His blessings from the earth and remove His protecting care from those who are rebelling against His law and teaching and forcing others to do the same. Satan has control of all whom God does not especially guard. He will favor and prosper some in order to further his own designs, and he will bring trouble upon others and lead men to believe that it is God who is afflicting them. {GC 589.2}

     While appearing to the children of men as a great physician who can heal all their maladies, he will bring disease and disaster, until populous cities are reduced to ruin and desolation. Even now he is at work. In accidents and calamities by sea and by land, in great conflagrations, in fierce tornadoes and terrific hailstorms, in tempests, floods, cyclones, tidal waves, and earthquakes, in every place and in a thousand forms, Satan is exercising his power. He sweeps away the ripening harvest, and famine and distress follow. He imparts to the air a deadly taint, and thousands perish by the pestilence. These visitations are to become more and more frequent and disastrous. Destruction will be upon both man and beast. "The earth mourneth and fadeth away," "the haughty people . . . do languish. The earth also is defiled under the inhabitants thereof; because they have transgressed the laws, changed the ordinance, broken the everlasting covenant." Isaiah 24:4, 5. {GC 589.3}
  All 10 of God's commandments,(Exodus 20) are important to Him.  But many teach that only 9 commandments are...They try to explain away God's Seventh day Sabbath, the only commandment that recognizes Him as Creator God, therefore deserving of our worship.   
  God's law is an explanation of His character...The first 4 commandments are vertical, a relationship between you and Creator God, and the last 6 commandments are horizontal, between you and those around you.  If you love God and put Him first in your life, you will love those around you.  The law displays God's character, which is all about LOVE!
  If you haven't, won't you ask Jesus to forgive you of all of your sins, and accept Him as your personal Saviour, and Lord of your life.  Ask Him to come into your heart and to cleanse you from all
unrighteousness.  He is waiting...  He is your Protector, Provider and everything you need!
