Prophecies About Messiah Fulfilled-Psalm 22-Part 3

Text message from God, Psalm 22:1-2, "My God, my God, why have you abandoned me?
Why are you so far away when I groan for help?
Every day I call to you, my God, but you do not answer.
Every night you hear my voice, but I find no relief."
Jesus wrote Psalm 22 through David, and prophesied His birth and cross experience!
The very first words prophesied were of Him feeling the agony of separation from His Father,   WHY HAVE YOU FORSAKEN ME?!!!  Have you ever cried out, WHY GOD?  Why is this happening in my life right now?  I don't feel You, God!   He is still there, even if you don't feel Him.  Faith takes hold of His promise, that He will never forsake you!  Matthew 27:46, "At about three o’clock, Jesus called out with a loud voice, “Eli, Eli, lema sabachthani?” which means “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?”  He felt utterly and completely abandoned, but He still hung there by faith, not by feeling, knowing that His Father would keep His promise!
Sin always separates us from God.  Jesus came to experience that separation for us, so we don't have to.  He came to redeem us so we can be reconciled to His Father!
Hebrews 13:5, God's text message says, "Don’t love money; be satisfied with what you have. For God has said, “I will never fail you.  I will never abandon you."  Because Jesus died for your sins, my sins, when we ask forgiveness, we are forgiven, and not forsaken!  Jesus took our sins, the sins of the whole human race upon Himself, on the cross, and the Father had to turn His face away, because sin separates us from God!  That's why Jesus' gut wrenching cry rang through the darkness of the cross, "MY GOD, MY GOD, WHY HAVE YOU FORSAKEN ME?!"  He had never felt that before, and as He hung there in His humanity, He was totally relying on His Father's promise that He would make it through, that He would wake up again and walk out of the tomb, that He would see His Father again, and that His sacrifice would be enough.  He sure didn't feel that way, but trusted His Father's promise.    Jesus stayed on the cross, even though He felt forsaken, and satan was screaming in His ear, "Your never going to wake up!  You're never going to see Your Father again, come down from that cross!"  Jesus stayed there for YOU.  He stayed there for me.  He was willing to save the likes of you and I.  He was willing to lose everything if it meant that you and I would be saved!  When you begin to wrap your mind and heart around Who this really is and what He has really done, it is mind boggling!  He is Eternal Creator God, and yet was willing to die, and be separated from His Father, so you and I could live eternally with His Father, wow!  Talk about humble,  unconditional love.
Have you ever felt forsaken?  Has anyone ever lied to you, cheated on you, abused you?  Has anyone ever left you?  You have a Saviour in the heavens that is making intercession for you at this very moment.  He wants your heart.  He wants to be with you, forever.  He doesn't want you to forsake or abandon Him...
