Prophecies About Messiah Fulfilled-Psalm 22-Part 4

My apologies for not getting this to you sooner, but the Christmas season was very busy with family!:-)
This post finishes Psalm 22, and then I will begin the 70 week prophecy that proves Jesus Christ is the Messiah!
  Text message from God, Psalm 22:6-8, "But I am a worm and not a man.
I am scorned and despised by all!  Everyone who sees me mocks me.
      They sneer and shake their heads, saying,
  “Is this the one who relies on the Lord?  Then let the Lord save him!
If the Lord loves him so much, let the Lord rescue him!”
When Jesus said His cross experience would be like a worm, He knew the following info about the scarlet worm, that I found on a Bible study site.  "When the female of the scarlet worm species was ready to give birth to her young, she would attach her body to the trunk of a tree, fixing herself so firmly and permanently that she would never leave again. The eggs deposited beneath her body were thus protected until the larvae were hatched and able to enter their own life cycle. As the mother died, the crimson fluid stained her body and the surrounding wood. From the dead bodies of such female scarlet worms, the commercial scarlet dyes of antiquity were extracted."
FORGIVEN  What a picture of Jesus on the cross!  Jesus' blood stained the cross.  It is our protection and guarantees eternal life if we accept Him as our forgiving Saviour!
   Jesus' blood is our protection, just as the blood of a slain lamb was a symbol of protection for the ancient Israelites who put blood on the door posts of their homes in Egypt, so that the death angel, sent to carry out the plague of slaying the first born, did not touch anyone who was in a house with the lamb's blood on the door posts!  Text message from God, 1 John 1:7, "But if we are living in the light, as God is in the light, then we have fellowship with each other, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, cleanses us from all sin."  Jesus shed His blood so we can be forgiven and cleansed from sin, and have changed hearts and lives!
  So, when Jesus likened Himself to this worm, He was prophesying that His blood would be spilled to give eternal life to all who would accept!
  Text message from God, Psalm 22:9-10, "Yet you brought me safely from my mother’s womb
and led me to trust you at my mother’s breast.  I was thrust into your arms at my birth.
You have been my God from the moment I was born."  He's here describing how His Father would be with Him in birth and childhood.  He trusted His Father implicitly, as many verses I haven't gone over in Psalm 22, describe.  Eternal Creator God Himself, was formed in a womb He created, and then as a baby relied on His Father to trust Him to the care of human parents that He created!  Wow!  Think about that for awhile...
 Text message from God,  Psalm 22:11-13, "Do not stay so far from me,
for trouble is near,
and no one else can help me.
 My enemies surround me like a herd of bulls;
fierce bulls of Bashan have hemmed me in!
  Like lions they open their jaws against me,
roaring and tearing into their prey.
  Bashan was a city of fierce giants that God conquered for ancient Israel while taking the promised land.  Their city had walls of giant black stones, and they were feared by surrounding nations.
  Jesus felt like He was up against raging giants, but in mentioning Bashan, He was acknowledging that God would help Him to conquer the black hole of the enemy, satan, and the ugly murderous designs of His enemies!
  Text message from God, Psalm 22:14-24, "My life is poured out like water,
and all my bones are out of joint.
My heart is like wax,
melting within me.
  My strength has dried up like sun baked clay.
My tongue sticks to the roof of my mouth.
You have laid me in the dust and left me for dead.
  My enemies surround me like a pack of dogs;
an evil gang closes in on me.
They have pierced my hands and feet.
  I can count all my bones.
My enemies stare at me and gloat.
  They divide my garments among themselves
and throw dice for my clothing.
  O Lord, do not stay far away!
You are my strength; come quickly to my aid!
  Save me from the sword;
spare my precious life from these dogs.
  Snatch me from the lion’s jaws
and from the horns of these wild oxen.
  I will proclaim your name to my brothers and sisters.[b]
I will praise you among your assembled people.
  Praise the Lord, all you who fear him!
Honor him, all you descendants of Jacob!
Show him reverence, all you descendants of Israel!
  For he has not ignored or belittled the suffering of the needy.
He has not turned his back on them,
but has listened to their cries for help."

  His description of his joints and counting all of His bones is a picture of His physical suffering on the cross!  He could feel tendons tearing, bones pulling, and had to push up on His feet to be able to take a breath.  It was agony either way...  Jesus Christ suffered mentally, emotionally and physically on the cross.  He died of a broken heart.  The separation from His Father caused much more suffering to Him than the physical pain.  What kept Him hanging there?  It was a picture of your face, your life, my face, my life.  He willingly died for you and I because He loves us more than life!   Give Him your heart.
